Oh, who did you meet my blue-eyed son ?this 2nd song is dedicated to my ex-wife . . .
Who did you meet, my darling young one ?
I met a young child beside a dead pony
I met a white man who walked a black dog
I met a young woman whose body was burning
I met a young girl, she gave me a rainbow
I met one man who was wounded in love
I met another man who was wounded in hatred
And it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard, it's a hard
And it's a hard rain's a-gonna fall.
and finally for my darling Serafina . . .
Drunken politicians leapIn case you were wondering why . . . We just finished watching No Direction Home, a documentary film by Martin Scorsese about the life of Bob Dylan.
Under the streets where mothers weep
Saviours lying fast asleep
They wait for you
I wait for them to interrupt me
Drinking from my broken cup
And ask for me
To open up the gate for you
I want you
I want you
I want you
So bad
Ooooh love Dylan!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
mouse
I knew you had great taste in music! :)
DeleteI saw Dylan perform at Alpine Valley in Wisconsin - it's a beautiful natural venue. Johnny Clegg & Savuka started the show, followed by Tracy Chapman and the Bob Dylan.
Dylan was good, but Chapman's live performance was one of the best I've ever seen, sent chills up the spine and raised goosebumps.
