"If you can look at a dog and not feel vicarious excitement and affection, you must be a cat." (author unknown)
Yo, "Big Bad Wolf", you ain't got nothin' on this! (photo - Katie Sokoler / Gothamist) |
Here's the opening of the original story:
A man in a shiny leather jacket gripped the leash with his fingerless gloves and flashed a toothy grin as he began walking down the runway. You might expect a scantily clad woman to be lolling on the floor, or a gimp on all fours, bobbing his head to the Big Sean that thundered out of Westway's speakers. Shove your way past the cooing crowds snapping Instagram photos and you'd see it was a tiny, shivering dog, its tail completely horizontal under its stomach and a BDSM mask zipped tightly around its head. This piece was first reported at the Gothamist in it's Dogs In Bondage Gear Work The Runway At Vice's Doggie Fashion Show photo spread by Katie Sokoler. I've shamelessly reproduced one of the shoot's pictures here, primarily because it's so cute as to be absolutely irresistible . . . Go check the rest out for yourself!
Woof!
I absolutely love wolves, and of course I also love dogs, who are ultimately the domesticated offspring of their wild cousins. I'm not a cat person, as I've always been more than a little allergic to felines. But, I love animals, and am only somewhat allergic to dogs. Hence, I am very much a dog person.
Both humans and dogs love to play well into adulthood, and individuals from both species occasionally display evidence of having a conscience.
